I wanted to learn more about the film you were making. Can we watch it somewhere? How did you get involved in the first place??

I always wanted to go to Afghanistan - but in the 70's, before the most recent invasions and upheaval.

Another time, another world we know nothing about. Russian troops failed, U.S. troops occupied, then abandoned the Afghans. I could never have gone there. You were very brave (or naive), and have memories few share. Incredible story and photos. Thanks.

Neither brave nor naive, it was a different time. We all felt pretty safe because there was a big US military presence. Even the Afghans we met there were optimistic about their future. Women were registering to vote and going to University.
